Let’s walk together in support of premature and sick babies on 25th October.

48,000 premature or sick babies are born in Australia each year. With your help the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation can support these families along their journey.

Virtual Walk for Prems 2020 is proudly presented by Baby Bunting and is the largest annual fundraiser by Life’s Little Treasures Foundation, Australia’s foremost charity dedicated to supporting the families of babies born sick or prior to 37 weeks gestation. It’s the ultimate example of families helping families. This community event has raised over 2.2 million dollars over 10 years.

One Walk. A thousand Locations.
This year, we’ll still be walking for the same reason and with the same sense of purpose and connection this year. However, due to the current health pandemic, in the interests of protecting everyone (especially our precious prems!) we are encouraging participants to walk in small groups on a 5km route of their choosing on Sunday October 25, 2020.

Why you don’t want to miss this very special Walk
Just like all walks, every participant will receive a race bib to wear on the day and a medal of achievement. We have set up a Facebook Walk group where walkers can connect with others, share photos, challenge each other and take part in lots of fun family activities. On Sunday 25th October, we’ll run the day’s activities online including the dove release ceremony, videos and great activities that include competitions and challenges. Tune into our website and feel part of it all!

Feel good. Do good.
Living in isolation is something prem families are all too familiar with and why we want to make sure that this virtual walk is one that encourages people to reach out to each other, to enjoy the benefits of exercise and being outdoors and to feel part of something really positive.

2020 has been all sorts of memorable (and not for the right reasons). So make your year better and join us for our Virtual Walk on October 25. Enjoy the fun and spirit of being part of this wonderful community event and ensure that premature and sick babies and their families will be able to access help and support in 2021.

The support we received from life’s little treasures during our hospital stay was amazing, the app was a godsend, with this new foreign language in an easy to read form with meanings, section for notes, updates on weight feeding etc, I will never be able to thank life’s little treasures enough for their support

I wanted to pass on my congratulations on the special care nursery booklet. It’s fantastic and I have given out my first copy this evening to a young couple who have a premmie 3 days of age. It looks wonderful!!

I’m so glad to have known the Life’s Little Treasures Foundation from the beginning and seen how you translated a very mixed (some would say awful) personal experience to a positive way of helping others in your position. You’ve made a huge difference to so many parents facing their worst nightmare
