CEO

Felicia Welstead

Felicia Welstead is the CEO of Life’s Little Treasures Foundation. Felicia started at LLTF in December 2020 and has worked for many Not-for-Profit organisations including Canteen, The Big Issue and Cystic Fibrosis Community Care.

Prior to working for NFP’s Felicia worked for three professional sporting clubs including two AFL Clubs – Hawthorn and Geelong as their Events Manager. She holds a Business degree, a Graduate Certificate in Sports Management and a Master of Management. At LLTF her goal is to use her skills, education and experience to take LLTF to the next level and support more vulnerable families Australia-wide.

Seona Emanuelli

Seona is a neonatal intensive care nurse with over 23 years of experience in the clinical setting, research and management. She has worked both internationally and across Australia. She is the founder of Bidibots, a medical company that designs and innovates products and devices specifically for our smallest and sickest babies, with a special interest in non-invasive ventilation. She is a mother of three and is in the final stages of completing her Masters of Research in the area of neonatal development care.

Karin Vosmansky    

Karin is passionate about LLTF and has worked as a volunteer at the Foundation for the past 15 years, as Treasurer and Director.  Her son Robbie was born prem in 2007, she herself suffered from severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome.  From this experience she wanted to give back and is very passionate about supporting other families who go through the journey of having a sick or premature baby, firmly believing that providing the right information and education to parents & professionals is key to providing best outcomes for these families.

She is currently the CEO/Executive Director of Mack Valves, her previous role was as the Financial Controller of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.  She has spent the early part of her career with one of the world’s largest Food and Beverage services brands, working events in Australia such as the Commonwealth Games and Australian Open. From there, she focussed her work on numerous not-for-profit organisations and aiding them in building their ability to support their cause, while controlling financial obligation to the government, and support services alike.  Karin also has recently run a successful Hospitality Financial Solutions business, supporting many business leaders in running effective businesses.

 

Dr Simon Fraser 

Dr Simon Fraser studied medicine at the University of Queensland graduating in 1982. He trained as a Paediatrician at the Mater Hospitals in Brisbane and sub-specialised in Neonatology at the Mater Mothers’ Hospital. Following the awarding of his fellowship in child health with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1992 Simon took up a position as a Staff Neonatologist at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne in 1993 where he continued practicing in their growing NICU until 2005.

Simon then moved into medical administration and continued clinical work in special care nursery paediatrics in various hospitals in the Gippsland region (southwest of Melbourne) until 2016. He was employed at the Latrobe Regional Hospital as the Chief Medical Officer and Senior Paediatrician until late July 2018. Simon continues to conduct a small paediatric clinic with a special interest in newborns and premmies and commenced as Clinical Director – Governance with Medibank at the end of July 2018.

He has a particular interest in clinical and corporate governance and considerable experience and understanding of health services management and the Australian healthcare system. Simon has lived in regional Victoria since 2005 and thus also has a personal interest and understanding of issues facing families in the regional and rural setting.

Simon is delighted to be part of the LLTF board member and hopes to bring his clinical knowledge and firsthand experience of working in healthcare to benefit the foundation.

Daniel Witherington

Daniel is a Director at Ernst & Young, responsible for leading complex, cross-divisional strategic multimillion dollar business opportunities and driving excellence across the firm through sales coaching and collaboration. Financial turnaround of the regional operations for the world’s largest family-owned recruitment business, navigating a successful exit from the Australian market. To the start-up General Manager for the FTSE 500 listed recruitment company. He successfully lead the start-up division of the Professional Services arm of the Australia business, where he grew the group from start-up to 50 million T/O within two years.

His son Jenson was born 7 weeks early at 33 weeks. Daniel’s wife had just finished work on a Friday night and went into labour that night at 11pm, 7 weeks prior to the due date. They were thrown into a world they knew nothing about.  As a dad  who has been on this journey Daniel is passionate about supporting other families, especially dads.

Sarah Serle

Sarah Serle is the EGM for Merchandise & Supply at Godfrey’s, a specialist retailer of cleaning products with over 200 stores in ANZ, and an extensive online offer.

 

Sarah has held leadership roles in retail, wholesale and distribution in the UK, Asia and ANZ. Sarah enjoys working on major change management projects and was part of the team that post the Wesfarmers take-over of Coles Myer in 2008 led the Officeworks business to an everyday low price model. She also has more recently at API (Priceline) and Baby Bunting led teams through the introduction of business transformative stock management and financial forecasting systems. 

 

Sarah has enjoyed a dynamic career working with a breadth of business ownership models, private equity, family owned and operated, ASX/FTSE listed, and franchisee, so understands and relishes the opportunities and challenges that they each bring.

 

Sarah has a family member who spent the first 5 weeks of their life in NICU and will always be appreciative of the wonderful support her family received. 

Matt Levy

In 1987, Matt Levy was born prematurely at 25 weeks. He has cerebral palsy, is legally blind, and has had 40-50 operations on his heart, lungs, ears, and even brain.

Matt is also a swimmer. You might have seen him win gold for Australia. He has competed at five consecutive Paralympic Games, winning 3 gold 1 silver, and 5 bronze medals. He’s also swam at 5 World Swimming Championships – winning 20 international medals and holding 4 World Records.

Matt has a degree in Business (Management), an Australian Institute of Company Directors qualification and MBA (Leadership), as well as an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for services to sport.

Vanessa Border

Vanessa is a lawyer by background, now working in People & Culture for a fast-growing tech company. Previously, while living in San Francisco she was the Chief of Staff for a prominent children’s advocacy organisation and also founded a camp for young adults with special needs.

With extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector, Vanessa brings a unique perspective with respect to the risk, legal and people functions of LTTF.

Vanessa has two daughters – one who was premature and spent some time in the NICU and the other who became seriously ill soon after birth. Thankfully, both her girls are now thriving, but she relies on these experiences in appreciating the impact that an organisation like LTTF has for our community.
