We are looking for people who have a compassionate heart and love to help others. You will need to be over 16 and physically fit and healthy.

Peer Support Volunteer roles usually require a commitment of 4 hours fortnightly or monthly. You can choose to take part in hospital NICU Connections morning teas or closed FB events online.Packing and processing volunteers usually work one day a week for five hours.

Our Peer Support Volunteers need to have had a premature or sick baby so that you have the understanding to support other families.Our Packing and Processing Volunteers need to be capable of standing or sitting for long periods of time and are able to complete light lifting.

If you’re applying to be a Peer Support Volunteer role for our Facebook or hospital groups, then you will need to have had a prem or sick baby. We also have many roles that do not require this life experience.

If you want to help with Packing and Processing then yes, you need to live in Victoria, as these activities are completed at our Head Office in Melbourne. However, there are plenty of Peer Support Volunteer positions across Australia.

All our volunteers are trained in their roles with online and hands-on training.You will be mentored by our staff members until you feel comfortable to do your volunteer role.

Our onboarding process is easy.You will need to fill in an online application form and you will be interviewed to make sure you are the right fit for us, and we are the right fit for you. If you’re successful, you’ll progress through the online training and also get some hands-on training.All volunteers are required to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check or ‘blue card’.But don’t worry, we will be there to help you through all of these steps.

We love our volunteers to work together in teams, so you will have a team of equally enthusiastic individuals working alongside you.

Yes, as long as you both have the skills to do the job we are more than happy for you to work with others you might know.
