Many hospitals around Australia have adopted a Family Centred Care (FCC) model. FCC is all about health care professionals working in partnership with children and their families in the delivery of health care.
Families are treated with equal dignity and respect and the individual choices of the family, and its various members, are recognised. An example includes involving parents in the cares of the baby.
