To a family with a baby in the hospital, kindness means everything.

Show you care by helping us to make a tangible difference in the lives of families of premature and sick babies.

Having a baby born sick or premature can be a very stressful, traumatic experience that often overshadows the joy that comes with the birth of a new baby. Instead of celebrating, families are often left feeling very alone and isolated. To these families, kindness means everything. Just knowing that others are thinking of them makes a world of difference. And what better way to show you care than with a handmade item crafted with love!

This May, we invite you to be a part of our Craft-a-thon and knit, sew, quilt or crochet items for babies in neonatal units across Australia. These items will be used in milestone packs and gifted to families on special days throughout the year, including Father’s Day, World Prematurity Day and Christmas Day, to let them know they are not alone.

How do I participate?

Become a Handmade Hero by registering for our Craft-a-thon that runs from 1 – 31 May. Choose which items you would like to make from our list of required items, following the patterns provided. As these items will be gifted to small, vulnerable babies, we can only accept items made from these patterns due to necessary safety regulations.

What items do you need?

Whether knitting, sewing, crocheting or quilting is your thing, we welcome you to be involved. Please click here to see the items needed with the corresponding patterns.

Where do I send my items?

All donations can be sent to our warehouse at: 1/21 Eugene Tce, Ringwood VIC 3134, or can be dropped off in person.
